Agroventure is a student-led innovation committed to transforming the way Indian farmers care for their soil and crops. We identified the critical issue of over-fertilization and lack of accessible soil testing in rural areas, which damages both crop yield and the environment.

Our solution is the Mati Rakshak – a solar-powered IoT device that provides real-time nutrient and moisture analysis, supported by a bilingual mobile app offering fertilizer recommendations, irrigation guidance, and AI-powered crop disease detection.

Currently being field tested in Haryana and Punjab, Agroventure is empowering farmers to make data-driven, sustainable choices that improve productivity while protecting the land for future generations.

Product Features

Portable NPK & Moisture Device

Our IoT prototype measures soil nutrients and moisture in real time, designed to help optimize fertilizer and water use. Currently being tested in field conditions.

Bilingual Web App

A user-friendly platform in multiple languages, ensuring accessibility for farmers with different literacy levels.

AI Disease & Weed Detection

An AI model trained on crop and weed images that detects common diseases and weeds, offering farmers early insights. Accuracy is being refined through ongoing trials.

Soil Data Sheet

Using a ThingSpeak server, farmers can view soil reports, track trends, and receive tailored recommendations. The system is in its early deployment stage.

Our Field Testing & Impact

We tested our prototype in the fields of Manesar, Khadarpur and Sadrana, where farmers provided highly positive feedback. Over 90% of participants found the device simple to use and valuable for their farming practices
